In the finale of the International Ramayana Utsav, the Shakti Puja of Ram came true on the open space stage of Namo Ghat. The artists of Rupvani made the 101st staging of Ram’s Shakti Puja a memorable one. The second phase of the International Ramayana Utsav concluded with the Shakti Puja of Ram and the blessings of Shakti.
The final presentation, under the direction of Vyomesh Shukla, the characters involved in the drama Ram’s Shakti Puja filled the audience with devotion with their lively acting and the presentation of Shakti Puja performed by Shri Ram wishing for victory in the war with Ravana. The International Ramayana Utsav, organized by the International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute, Department of Culture and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, was inaugurated on Monday by Dr. Rajeshwar Acharya, former president of Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy, by lighting the lamp.
The first sangeetanjali in the program was presented by Dr. Shivani Shukla, Assistant Professor of Shri Agrasen PG College. He started singing with the composition Albelo Awadh Kumar…composed by Pranavaranga in Raga Bhimpalasi. After this, the composition ‘Chala Chali Guiyan Dham Duware Deen Dayala Jahan Avtaare’, dedicated to the new form of Ayodhya Dham composed by Guru Prabharang, was presented.
