In Saifni, an angry young man attacked with a knife after being tailed by a buffalo and killed the buffalo’s owner Rahul (25). Angered by Rahul’s death, family members and villagers reached the police station and created a ruckus. The police chased away the people creating ruckus with sticks. After registering a report, the accused Ajit was arrested.
SP Rajesh Dwivedi, who reached the spot after receiving the information, assured the family members of strict action. This incident of murder took place in Mohalla Chauraha of Saifni town. Animals were tied outside the house of Rahul, a farmer living here. On Thursday evening, around 5 pm, Rahul’s neighbor Ajit Pandey was passing by.
Then Rahul’s buffalo hit its tail. After which accused Ajit Pandey became enraged and had an altercation with Rahul. The dispute escalated so much that accused Ajit brought a knife from home and stabbed Rahul several times in the chest. The accused absconded after the attack.
When the family members heard the screams, they took Rahul to Saifni’s personal doctor and from there he was referred. The family reached a hospital in Moradabad, where doctors declared him dead. Angered by the murder, family members and villagers reached Saifni police station with the dead body and started a ruckus.
After receiving information about the incident, CO Atul Kumar Pandey reached the spot. The police explained to the people, but the villagers did not agree. Then the police chased away the people who were creating ruckus with batons. Seeing the commotion, police forces from several police stations have been deployed in the village.
SP Rajesh Dwivedi said that a case has been registered and the main accused has been arrested. The case is being investigated.
The marriage of the deceased’s brother is to take place on April 21.
Deceased Rahul’s brother Neeraj is getting married on 21st April. Wedding preparations were going on in the family. The happiness of marriage turned into mourning due to murder. The deceased left behind his wife Kamini, one and a half year old son and six month old daughter. The deceased’s father Bhagwandas and mother became unconscious after seeing the dead body of their son.
