An uncontrolled tractor trolley hit a roadways bus going from Haldwani to Delhi near Chaddha Paper Mill on Nainital Highway. 18 passengers were injured in this. Police sent all the injured to the community health center. Doctors referred five passengers in critical condition to the district hospital.
The bus of Uttarakhand Transport Haldwani depot was going from Haldwani to Delhi late on Tuesday night. According to the police, there were 18 passengers in the bus apart from the driver and conductor. When the bus reached near Chadha Paper Mill in Isanagar police station area.
During this time, a tractor loaded with wood coming from the wrong direction hit the bus. After the incident, the driver immediately left the tractor and ran away in the darkness. Hearing the screams of the people in the bus, the people of Isanagar village immediately reached the spot.
With the help of police, they took the injured out of the bus. After this, everyone was sent to the community health center by ambulance. Bus driver Mahesh Kumar, conductor Manish Mishra, Deepak New Delhi, Radha Nainital, Arbaaz Bareilly, Nandini Delhi, Deepanshu Delhi, Aditya Delhi, Ashish Delhi, Arjun Delhi, Champa Rudrapur, Karan Rudrapur, Raju Rudrapur, Neha Delhi were admitted.
CO Ravi Khokhar and Kotwali in-charge Balwan Singh reached the spot. They reached the hospital and talked to the doctors treating the injured. Five seriously injured people were referred. Kotwali in-charge said that after first aid, the passengers admitted in the community health center were sent to their destination.
