A young man from Bareilly took a girl with him by luring her two days ago. On Saturday morning the family members brought the girl with them from Bareilly. Later the young man also followed her home. The family members caught the young man who was adamant on getting married and handed him over to the police.
The police arrested the accused on charges of disturbing the peace. The daughter of a person living in a locality of the city had suddenly gone missing from home two days ago. The family members had searched for the girl a lot, but she could not be found anywhere.
Later it was found that the girl had gone with a young man from Bareilly. The family also informed the local police about the matter. According to the police, the family members recovered the girl from Bareilly area on Saturday morning and brought her to their home.
It is alleged that the accused youth followed the girl to her house and started insisting on marrying her. The girl’s family opposed this. The youth created a ruckus over this issue. The girl’s family immediately informed the police about the matter.
The police brought both the parties to the police station. On Saturday, a panchayat was held between the two parties for several hours in the police station, but the matter could not be resolved. The boy and the girl were adamant on marrying each other, but the family members were not agreeing to the marriage.
The police arrested the accused youth Ganesh Babu, resident of Benipur Chaudhary, Subhash Nagar police station, Bareilly district, on charges of disturbing the peace and sent him to the SDM court. SDM Himanshu Upadhyay said that Ganesh Babu, who was arrested by the police on charges of disturbing the peace, has been granted bail on a bond of one lakh rupees.
