When ABP News asked the actor about the film – ‘Is this film going to be biased towards ‘Veer Savarkar’? Because for one side he was definitely ‘veer’. But another section of the society considers him a ‘villain’. Have both his sides been shown in this film? Answering this question, Randeep Hooda said- ‘This film is completely balanced. I have studied this film with fact to fact details. In the film, I have not only told the personality of Savarkar ji but have also told the circumstances behind his becoming like this. The actor said – ‘This film is an anti-propaganda film. The only reason for releasing this film on elections is that people should try to know more about Veer Savarkar.
‘Not a propaganda film’
Another question was asked to the actor regarding the film – Is this film a propaganda film, or is it a part of the wave of political films going on in Bollywood like Atal, Article 370. Or is this film really knowable. Responding to this, the actor said – ‘More knowledge has been given in the film than what is written in the books. I have worked hard in making this film. Just as I work hard in my acting, similarly as a director I have also worked hard in making this film.
The actor further said- ‘If I had to make only a propaganda film, I would not have taken so much time to release it. I would take the topic and present it to the film viewers without much research. Let us tell you that Randeep Hooda has given many superhit films to Bollywood. Apart from this film, he has also worked in the films ‘Highway’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Sarabjit’. The actor is going to make his directorial debut in Bollywood with this film. Randeep Hooda has not only directed this film but is also playing the role of lead actor in this film.
