Ratan Tata: India’s veteran industrialist Ratan Tata passed away last Wednesday night. According to the information, he breathed his last at the age of 86 in a hospital in Mumbai. Ratan Tata was not just a businessman, he was a man with simple leadership.
He was the Chairman of Tata Group from 1991 to 2012. During this period, he set records in the business sector and took Tata Group, one of the oldest business houses of the country, to great heights. Since then Tata became an international brand.

According to the information, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan in the year 2000 on the 50th Republic Day of India and in 2008 he was also awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian honour.
Not only this, Ratan Tata was given the NASSCOM Global Leadership Award in the year 2008. It is said that he has also been honored with the Carnegie Philanthropy Medal on behalf of the Tata Group. Ratan Tata served as a trustee at Cornell University, RAND Corporation and the University of Southern California. He was a member of the advisory boards of several international organizations, such as Mitsubishi Corporation, JPMorgan Chase, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Ratan Tata has so far received honorary doctorate degrees from many universities. His name has been included in the list of the world’s most influential people by prestigious magazines like Fortune and Time.
Demand for giving Bharat Ratna has arisen
In the year 2023, he was awarded the Udyog Ratna by the Maharashtra Government. For a long time there was a demand to honor him with Bharat Ratna. However, he has not yet received the country’s highest civilian honour.
