Uttarakhand government will give sugar-salt to 23 lakh poor

Now, apart from free ration, the state government will also provide sugar and salt at cheap rates to the poor ration card holders. About 23 lakh families of the state will get direct benefit of the scheme of the state government.

Rs 10 per kg subsidy will be given on sugar

The state government will give huge subsidy on sugar to the poor. A subsidy of Rs 10 per kg will be given. If everything goes well, it can also be increased to Rs 15 per kg. State government officials have warned that the card holders who have not taken ration on the card for the last 6 months. Their ration card can be cancelled.

65 lakh crore will be spent on the scheme

The budget has been prepared for the operation of the scheme from the state government level. Its complete proposal has been prepared. An additional expenditure of about Rs 65 lakh crore will be incurred. Soon the state government will pass this proposal. After this, the poor will start getting salt and sugar at cheaper rates.
