The government provides ration to these people at low prices under the National Food Security Act. To avail the benefits of these government schemes, ration card is required. But now ration card holders have only a few days left. After this, ration card holders will stop getting two things.

Rice and sugar mills will stop

The Government of India has issued information to all ration card holders that all ration card holders will have to complete e-KYC. Those ration card holders who will not complete their e-KYC process. Those ration card holders will stop getting two things. According to the rules, if the ration card holders do not complete the e-KYC, then they will stop getting rice and sugar. The Government of India had given a deadline to complete e-KYC for ration card. Which has now been increased further. But now ration card holders do not have much time for this.

31st December is the last date

The government had earlier fixed September 31, 2024 as the last date for getting the e-KYC of the ration card done. After this, this deadline was extended by one month till 31 November 2024. But now this deadline has been extended to 31 December 2024. This means that now ration card holders have approximately 41 days time. If ration card holders do not get e-KYC done by 31st December. Then the rice and sugar they get in their ration card may be stopped. Along with this, the names of these ration card holders can also be removed from the ration card.

How to get e-KYC done?

Ration card holders will have to go to the nearest ration card shop to get their KYC completed. There you will have to verify your identity by placing your thumb print on the POS machine. After this your e-KYC process will be completed.
