Sarita Pandey, a housewife living in Chhattisgarh, while talking to Local 18, told about Palak Bhaji. He explained the complete recipe of Palak Bhaji in Chhattisgarhi style along with how to make it.

Sarita told the recipe

  • First of all, take spinach vegetable and wash it well. Wash the leaves especially thoroughly.
  • After washing it, cut the leaves into small pieces.
  • Cut the potatoes and keep them aside.
  • Heat oil in the pan.
  • After the oil is hot, add garlic, onion and red chilli seasoning to it.
  • After it is roasted well, add garlic paste to it.
  • Keep stirring it occasionally and do not let it burn.
  • After this, add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and keep stirring the pan.
  • After the masala is cooked, add chopped spinach, bhaji and potatoes to the pan.
  • Mix the bhaji well with the spices, cover the pan for 5 minutes and let it cook.
  • Keep stirring the pan in between.
  • After this add salt as per taste.
  • Let the vegetables cook.
  • After 2 minutes, add peeled peas to it and let it cook.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook the bhaji while stirring.
  • Finally cover the pan and let the bhaji cook.

Your Chhattisgarhi style palak bhaji is ready. It can be eaten with hot ghee spread roti or rice. You will definitely like the taste of this bhaji made in Chhattisgarhi style.
