A video of a complaint about extortion in the name of health certificate has surfaced in the CMO office of Hathras. In the video, a teacher candidate is complaining about demanding a bribe of Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 in the name of certificate. As soon as the video went viral on social media, there was panic in the health department. This video remained a topic of discussion in the CMO office throughout the day. Later the complainant retracted.
People require health certificate for driving license, arms license and government job. A large number of people make rounds of the district hospital and CMO office to get it made. These days, teacher candidates are in need of certificate for teacher recruitment. There is a crowd of candidates in the district hospital and CMO office to get the certificate made. Some health department employees are taking advantage of this.
On January 10, a video of Firozabad resident Ankush Rana has surfaced, in which he is alleging that Rs 500 to Rs 1000 is being charged in the name of getting a health certificate made in the CMO office.
