If you are 10th pass and have ITI certificate, then this is a great opportunity to get work in Indian Railways. South Central Railway has announced bumper recruitment for 4232 apprenticeship posts. The process of application for these posts has started and will continue till 27 January 2025. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of Railway Recruitment Cell scr.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidates can follow the steps given here to apply.
Under this recruitment, appointments will be made in different trades. These mainly include electrician, fitter, welder, machinist, diesel mechanic, AC mechanic, painter and other trades. Maximum 1053 posts are for Electrician and 1742 posts are for Fitter. Under this recruitment, there are 143 posts of AC Mechanic, 713 posts of Welder, 142 posts of Diesel Mechanic, 74 posts of Painter and posts for other trades.
eligibility requirements
It is mandatory for the candidates applying for apprentice posts to have passed 10th class with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board. Along with this, one should also have ITI certificate in the related trade.
age limit
The minimum age of the applying candidates has been fixed at 15 years. Whereas the maximum age of the candidates applying is 24 years. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per rules.
This much application fee will have to be paid
For this recruitment drive, candidates will have to pay an application fee. General/OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 100. Whereas SC/ST/PWBD/Women candidates are exempted from fee payment.

- Then candidates click on the link of “Apprentice Recruitment” on the home page.
- Now register through “New Registration”.
- For candidates, fill the application form by logging in as a registered user.
- After this deposit the application fee.
- Now submit the form.
- Finally, candidates should take a printout of the application form and save it.
