Red fireworks were seen in the sky, it seemed that many jellyfish were shining in space, this phenomenon is not seen everywhere

Colourful scenes in the sky are not seen everywhere in the world. Near the poles, events like aurora are seen several times a year, which create amazing scenes in the sky with green and blue colours. But such scenes are not seen in other parts of the world. But a person in France saw an extremely rare ‘red sprite’ phenomenon in the night sky, which looks like a giant glowing jellyfish. Its pictures have been shared on social media.

These were captured in the sky above Nice and Lake Geneva during the recent storms in France. According to Connexion France, these lights, called farfedets in French, look like red fireworks in the night sky. Environmental and weather photographer Christophe Suarez captured this sight.

It was seen on the night of August 13-14 in Rhone-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Grand-Est. He posted some of his photos on Instagram, in which a light looked like a giant glowing jellyfish. He wrote, “The sight was spectacular. Luckily, we were under the stars.” In a conversation with the Daily Star, he said that he was in a position to take pictures of the northern lights and the red sprite within 24 hours.

Suarez has been photographing storms for more than 20 years and has been photographing red sprites for the past few years. “It is a great pleasure to see the red sprite on the LCD screen of my device every time, but this time it was better than ever because the phenomenon was powerful and very clean,” he said.
