215 representatives including ministers, secretaries, directors from 36 states started gathering in Agra from Monday to deliberate on social justice and empowerment. State-wise review of scholarship, pension, Adarsh Gram, efficiency and skill and schemes being run for the disabled will be done. The action plan of the National Drug Free India Campaign will be discussed. This camp was inaugurated by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale.
Delegates have started arriving in Agra from Sunday evening for the Chintan Shivir at JP Hotel on Fatehabad Road. The inauguration took place at 11 am on Monday. Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Employment BL Verma and Ramdas Athawale addressed the first session. Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar is the chief guest in this camp.
In the second session, there will be an address on economic empowerment. In which first of all there will be a presentation on Pradhan Mantri Scheduled Caste Abhuday Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana. Then there will be a discussion on the grants and construction schemes given to the state and districts. There will be a review of the schemes being run for the disabled and the Pradhan Mantri Efficiency and Skills Sampann Beneficiary Scheme. In the third session, there will be a presentation on scholarships and the National Scholarship Portal. Then there will be a presentation on scholarships for higher education. The fourth session will start at 4 pm. In which there will be reflection on social empowerment.
Cultural programs will be organized from 7 pm. The fifth session on the second day on Tuesday will focus on social empowerment schemes. In which there will be presentations from Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. There will be discussion on beggary, rights of notified class and transgenders. The sixth session will be from 11 am. In which there will be questions and answers on technical subjects. Issues of scheduled castes, backward, handicapped and sanitation workers will be discussed. The seventh session will be in the name of felicitation ceremony.
