Bhanurekha Ganesan was born on 10 October 1954 in a Madrasi family. Bhanurekha is commonly known as Rekha. Her father was Gemini Ganesan, a popular South cinema actor who fell in love with junior artist Pushpavalli and Rekha was born without marriage. Gemini did not give Rekha the love of a father publicly for a long time, so her life was painful from the beginning.
However, she later gave her name. After coming into films, Rekha’s name was linked with many actors but the true stories were about her and Amitabh Bachchan. After being separated from Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha married Mukesh Agarwal in 1990 but after a few months, he also allegedly committed suicide. After that, Rekha accepted to live alone and is living the same life even today.
