Indian Cricket Team: Team India will tour Sri Lanka later this month, where a three-match T20 and an equal number of ODI series will be played. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India for both the series. Batsmen like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma, who had earlier performed well on the Zimbabwe tour, were not selected in both the series. Now former Indian cricketer S Badrinath has given a unique advice to the youth to make a place in Team India.
Young batsman Riyan Parag was given a chance in both ODI and T20 series on the Sri Lanka tour, whereas before this Riyan Parag did not do anything special on the Zimbabwe tour. Parag made his international debut from the Zimbabwe tour itself. Now S Badrinath expressed his anger and said that young players should be in a relationship with an actress to remain in the news. Apart from this, they should have a good PR manager to be selected in the team.
Speaking on ‘Cric Debate with Badri’, S Badrinath said, “Sometimes it feels like you need a bad guy image when Rinku Singh, Ruturaj Gaikwad and the rest of the players are not selected in the Indian team. It feels like you need to be in a relationship with a Bollywood actress, have a good media manager and body tattoos.
The Zimbabwe series went well for Gaikwad
Let us tell you that Team India played a five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe. Ruturaj Gaikwad batted in three matches of this series, in which he scored 7, 77 and 49 runs.
Gambhir’s tenure will begin with Sri Lanka tour
It is worth noting that the tenure of head coach Gautam Gambhir will begin with the Sri Lanka tour. Gambhir has replaced Rahul Dravid, whose tenure ended after the 2024 T20 World Cup.
