Reliance Jio issues warning to customers don’t receive calls coming from these numbers know details

Reliance Jio: Telecom operator Reliance Jio has issued a warning for its customers. The company has requested users to be cautious of calls and messages coming from +92 code. Amidst the ever-increasing scams in the country, the company has warned people to be cautious of such calls or else you may also suffer huge losses.

What warning was given?

Let us tell you that in an SMS sent to its users, the company said, “Beware of calls or messages pretending to be police officers using +92 code or other sources. To register a complaint of cyber crime, call 1930 or report on cybercrime.gov.in.”

Fraudsters often pose as police officers to dupe people so that they share personal information with them or give them money. Let us tell you that recently, the CBI had also issued a warning to the public that fraudulent activities are on the rise, where criminals are trying to dupe people by posing as CBI officers. These criminals are trying to cheat people by using the names of people and senior officials of the agency.

Measures to avoid fraud

To avoid such frauds, you can save yourself from cheating by following some advice.

  • If you get a call from someone claiming to be a police officer, ask them for their badge number, department name, and contact number. You can then verify it through official channels.
  • Also avoid sharing sensitive information like your Social Security number, bank account information or credit card details over the phone, especially if you didn’t initiate the call.
  • Real police officers will never pressure you to make an immediate payment or decision. If a person asks for immediate payment, it is a sign that he is a fraud.
  • If you are suspicious about the call, hang up and contact the police department directly.
