The movement of vehicles will remain closed on Minto Bridge for the next two days. Meanwhile, the road will be repaired. This will once again improve the movement of vehicles on this route. Earlier, both carriageways of the underbridge were broken due to waterlogging during the rains. The major reason for the waterlogging was the leakage of water from the walls of the underbridge and the drains next to it along with the two-way slope.
Due to this, the soil on the inside of the road was cut and big potholes were formed in it. Traffic was affected at this junction between Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Marg and Connaught Place. Due to the broken road, people had to face traffic jams throughout the day. Amar Ujala published a report highlighting the problems of the people prominently on Thursday. After this, the PWD swung into action and started the repair work from Friday night. Officials say that it will be completed in the next two days. Meanwhile, the movement of vehicles from the underbridge has been stopped. The traffic passing through here has been diverted to other routes.
