Research done on the brain of dogs, this quality was found to match that of humans.

Dogs become the easiest friends of humans. Most of the people want to keep dogs in their home, many types of studies are conducted on their behaviour. In a new study, scientists have made a different revelation about dogs. In which it has been found that dogs also understand the meaning of many words.

What was revealed
A research was conducted under the leadership of Mariana Boros of Eötvös Lorand University of Budapest, Hungary. In which 19 dogs of different species were studied. These dogs included in the study included dogs of breeds like Border Collie, Toy Poodles and Labrador Retrievers.

In this experiment, dog owners selected five things to identify their pets. After which, after calling the name of one thing, they had to keep that thing in front or some other thing had to be kept in front of them. After this, researchers monitored the brain waves of each dog through electroencephalography (EEG). The purpose of this research was to see how the brain of dogs reacts. When they call the name of something else and put something else in front. Apart from this, it was also necessary to know that if the said thing is kept in front of them then how they react and what kind of reaction happens if any other thing is kept in front of them.

Do dogs understand the meaning of words?
The purpose of this was to know whether dogs understand the meaning of words or not. If named things are placed in front of them or something else is placed in front of them, then how does their brain process? In this research, it was revealed that when a called thing was placed in front of them, different signals were seen in the dogs’ brains, whereas when any other thing was placed in front of them, different types of signals were seen.

This quality of dogs matches with humans
From this research it has become clear that this quality of identifying things in dogs matches with humans. The study has revealed that these qualities in dogs are exactly the same as seen in humans. In simple words, the brain process of associating an object with an object is seen in dogs.
