rishab shetty controversial statement said bollywood portray India negatively chunky panday hansal mehta hits back

Bollywod Reaction On Rishab Shetty Controversial Statement: The controversy over the statement given by South star Rishabh Shetty about Bollywood seems to be increasing. Many Bollywood celebrities have expressed anger over Rishabh’s statement. From actor Chunky Pandey to film maker Hansal Mehta, everyone has given their reaction on this matter.

Rishabh Shetty said in an interview in Kannada- ‘Indian films, especially Bollywood, often portray India in a negative light. These so-called art films are screened at international events and attract attention. For me, my nation, my state and my language are a matter of pride. I believe in presenting them in a positive light to the world.’

Chunky Pandey gave such a reaction
This statement of Rishabh Shetty has become the reason for debate. Many Bollywood celebrities have retaliated on this. According to a news published in Hindustan Times, actor Chunky Pandey says – Not at all, I travel abroad often and I have met many different NRI families who are grateful to Bollywood for letting their children stay connected to their culture. Other Indian films too… If someone has said this then he must have his own reasons. Cinema has no language.

Adil Hussain gave such a reaction
Actor Adil Hussain said, ‘He should have made a distinction between Bollywood films and traditional Hindi language films, which he is saying are usually given a red carpet at film festivals. Most Bollywood films are lost in the glamour of the 5-10 percent high middle class and high class families. If he means to show poverty then not all art films do that.’

The actor further said- ‘India has not been shown in a bad light, this is the biggest part of Indian truth. This is telling the truth, not to put our country in a bad image.’

‘You should control your language…’
Filmmaker Ashok Pandit said that Rishabh Shetty’s statement was the result of Arshad Warsi’s comment on Prabhas. Ashok said- ‘You should control your language while talking about someone. You cannot comment on anyone like this. Arshad should not have said this, because he will get a reply from the other side. Let’s talk about the film.’

Ashok Pandit further said- ‘This is a creative industry. There is no South, North, East, West! Their actors work here. You are dubbing your films in Hindi and releasing them in this belt, it means that you need our culture and Bollywood.’

Hansal Mehta said this
Director Hansal Mehta said- ‘However, I wonder what the reference is. Often statements are shown away from the actual reference, which creates controversy. I am sure his intention was not to be disrespectful.’
