Suicide cases are increasing every year

In 2022, 1.71 lakh people committed suicide, which is 4.2% more than in 2021. This figure is 27% more than 2018. NCRB says that after 1967, the highest number of suicide cases were registered in 2022.
Most of the youth are sacrificing their lives in this city
Government reports show that more cases of suicide have been seen among the youth. They are suffering from depression, after which they commit suicide. According to NCRB data, the maximum number of cases were reported from the country’s capital Delhi. Here 2760 people committed suicide in 2022. After this comes the name of Chennai, here 2699 people had committed suicide. Bengaluru is at third place in terms of suicide cases, where 2292 people committed suicide.
Family problems are becoming the reason for suicide
The increasing cases of suicide have created a big crisis for the government. Such cases have increased mostly in the cases of youth. Government and psychiatrists say that youth are ending their lives due to stress. According to a data, out of total suicides, 32.4 percent people committed suicide due to family problems, while 17.1 percent people committed suicide due to chronic and incurable diseases.
