Former district councilor and RJD leader Ranjit Rai died under suspicious circumstances near Harpur Eloth village of Musrigharari police station in Samastipur district. While his friend Sunil Kumar is undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Police reached the spot on receiving information about the incident and have started investigating the matter.
It has been told that Ranjit Rai and Sunil were found injured on the roadside. A bike was also found on the spot. However, there is no wound mark anywhere on Ranjit Rai’s body. On the other hand, as soon as information about the incident was received, a large crowd of people gathered at Sadar Hospital. Police have also reached the spot and are investigating. Deceased Ranjit was a resident of Bathua village of Musrigharari. Sunil Kumar is a resident of Mohanpur village.
The reason for Ranjit Rai’s death is not clear
Regarding the incident, it has been told that the former district councilor and RJD leader was going somewhere on bike with his colleague Sunil. Meanwhile, around 11 pm, people saw both of them in an unconscious state on the roadside near Harpur Eloth village. After which the police was informed. Upon receiving the information, police from Musrigharari police station picked up both of them and brought them to Sadar Hospital. Where the doctor declared Ranjit Rai dead. Whereas people have taken Sunil to a private hospital. What is the reason behind Ranjit Rai’s death? It is not clear. Since there is no wound mark on Ranjeet’s body.

On the other hand, there is discussion among the people that the former district councilor has been poisoned. However, this will become clear only after the post mortem report comes. However, the police is investigating the matter.

Additional SHO of Musrigharari police station, Pramod Kumar Mandal said that some youths of Harpur Eloth had informed the patrol team after seeing them on both sides of the road. After which both were brought to Sadar Hospital. Where the doctor declared Ranjit Rai dead. While another is undergoing treatment in a private hospital. The police is investigating the entire matter.
