Under the auspices of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, the (preliminary) examination of Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer was held on 11 February at 46 examination centers in Aligarh city. Out of about 41,756 candidates, 24,858 candidates appeared. 16, 918 candidates remained absent from the examination.

Nodal officer ADM City Amit Kumar Bhatt said that the examination was conducted in two shifts under tight security of magistrate and police. The examination was conducted in the first shift from 09:30 to 11:30 am and in the second shift from 02:30 pm to 03:30 pm. He said that out of 20,888 in the first shift, 59.78 percent i.e. 12,488 took the exam and 8,400 left the exam. Similarly, in the second shift, out of 20,888 candidates, 59.22 percent i.e. 12,370 appeared for the exam. 8518 remained absent from the examination.

Jam in the city due to exams

Due to the examination, there was a traffic jam in the city. Vehicles passed by crawling. There was a crowd of passengers at the railway station and bus stand regarding the examination. Candidates were seen searching for vehicles to reach their destination. There was maximum crowd of passengers on Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Mathura routes.
