A horrific road accident took place in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night. Here, a roadways bus coming from Aligarh collided with a tractor mixer near Diwana Kalan gate on Aligarh-Rayya road. Six labourers travelling in the tractor were injured. One died during treatment. Five are undergoing treatment in a private hospital located at Govardhan Chauraha.

The incident happened in the middle of the night. The bus of Aligarh depot coming from Aligarh to Mathura collided with a tractor mixer going ahead near Diwana Kalan railway crossing. Six labourers were travelling in it. All of them got injured. On receiving the information, the Jamunapar police station first admitted the injured to the district hospital. From here, all of them were referred to a private hospital due to their critical condition.

The police admitted all of them to a private hospital in Govardhan. Out of the injured workers, Rajpal of Gausna village of Jamunapar police station area died during treatment. Naresh of Gausna and Ashok, a resident of Kalyanpur, are seriously injured. The other three could not be identified. When they regain consciousness, the police will clarify their names and addresses after interrogation.

Inspector Jamunapar Chhotalal said that the bus driver has fled. There were passengers in the bus. But after the accident, all of them left in other vehicles. Due to this, it is not known which passenger got injured in the bus. Transport Corporation officials have been informed about the accident. It is being speculated that the bus driver must have dozed off, that is why he collided with the tractor mixer going ahead.
