The problems of passengers have increased after the closure of Aligarh’s Gandhi Park bus stand. Most buses pass by bypass. Passengers allege that the traffic police is not allowing some buses to enter the city. During the day, passengers somehow catch the bus from the highway, but at night there is a problem.

Now buses are operating in the city from Masoodabad and Sarsaul bus stand. Gandhi Park bus stand has been closed from February 1 to ease the traffic jam in the city. Due to the exhibition, the traffic police is not allowing some buses to enter the city to deal with the traffic jam during the day and night. There was a ruckus among the passengers on 12th February regarding this. After the complaint reached the officers, the buses were allowed to enter the city.

Regional Manager Satyendra Verma says that action will be taken against drivers and conductors plying buses from the highway. Apart from Aligarh zone, if the drivers and conductors of other depots are not bringing the buses to the bus stand, then action will be taken against them by sending a letter to their depot in-charge. Apart from this, checking staff will be activated on the highway and buses will be sent to the city. SP Traffic Mukesh Chandra Uttam said that it has been decided that no roadways bus coming to Sarsaul and Masoodabad bus stand will be stopped.
