Ronit Roy On Zero Dark Thirty Film: Actor Ronit Roy made his Bollywood debut with the hit film ‘Jaan Tere Naam’. However. Not getting any work in Bollywood even after his successful debut, the actor turned to TV and became a household name with his character of Rishabh Bajaj in the popular Hindi TV series ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’. Recently, Ronit was seen in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ with the team of his upcoming film ‘Shehzada’. During this show, Kapil mentioned about Ronit being offered Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-winning film ‘Zero Dark Thirty’. Although the actor could not do this film because Karan Johar’s team refused to adjust his dates. Later the shooting of ‘Student of the Year’ was also delayed.

Ronit Roy revealed, “I was offered Zero Dark Thirty and that too without any audition. He said, ‘We don’t need an audition because Kathryn Bigelow (director of the film) has seen your work and she wants you in the role.’ He further added, “Since his film was scheduled, it couldn’t be moved. We couldn’t tell him, ‘Agle saal aana jaise ye Karthik bolta hai.’ So, Karan had my dates. I asked him, not Karan but his team and I said, ‘Working with an Oscar winning filmmaker would be a big event for me.’ But he said, “No, it is not possible. We cannot release dates. That’s why I said no to ‘Zero Dark Thirty’.”

Ronit said that was the biggest bummer of my life
While Ronit called Karan’s team to know about the shooting of ‘Student of the Year’ and he replied, ‘Yes we are not doing that now’. The actor further added, “So, neither did he let me do it (Zero Dark Thirty) nor did he shoot his film. It was the biggest bummer of my life.” Reacting to this, Kriti said, ‘This is the problem with being ethical.’ Karthik Aryan jokingly said, ‘That’s why I am not ethical’.

Ronit also missed the Emmy winning series Homeland
Not only ‘Zero Dark Thirty’, Ronit Roy had earlier missed the Emmy winning series Homeland as well. In 2018, he had shared with Spotboye, “I missed Homeland as well because they wanted me in South Africa for six months. But at that time season 1 of Adalat was going on.
