The court on Tuesday recorded the statement of a woman sub-inspector, who is involved in the investigation of the Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh sexual harassment case. She had collected photographs of the Sai Centre Lucknow and Sir Chhotu Ram Stadium Rohtak from one of the victims. The witness said that they had issued a notice to the victim, but she refused to participate in the preparation of the site plan. After this, Inspector Ravi prepared the site plan.

Another prosecution witness who is the victim did not appear on medical grounds. The court has summoned the victim to record her statement on August 23. The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Priyanka Rajput of Rouse Avenue Court is recording the prosecution evidence. The court recorded the statement of Sub Inspector Rashmi. Her examination head was recorded by an Additional Public Prosecutor (APP).

Defence lawyer Rajiv Mohan cross-examined the witness. During the cross-examination, the witness said that the investigation was not assigned to him, but he participated in the investigation on the orders of senior officers. He also said that he had issued notice to the victim SM, but he refused to participate in the preparation of the site plan. After this, Inspector Ravi prepared the site plan.

Now the court has summoned the victim SM to record evidence. On the previous date, the court had recorded the statement of constable Mukesh Kumar. On July 11, it had directed to record the statements of prosecution witnesses and start the trial in the alleged sexual harassment case against former MP and former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan and Vinod Tomar.

On May 21, the court formally framed charges against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Vinod Tomar. They denied all the charges and demanded a trial. The court had directed framing of charges against them on May 10. The court had on May 10 ordered framing of charges against former WFI chief and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh and Tomar on the allegations of sexual harassment leveled by several female wrestlers.

While passing the order, the court had said that there is sufficient material to proceed against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh with the offence of sexual harassment of five female wrestlers and outraging the modesty of a woman. The court found sufficient material to proceed against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh under Sections 354 and 354A (IPC). Charges have also been framed against him under Section 506 (Part 1) on the allegations of two women. However, the court had acquitted Brij Bhushan of the charges levelled by the sixth wrestler. The court also framed charges against the second accused Vinod Tomar under Section 506 (Part 1) of the IPC on the allegation of a woman.
