Shav-e-Barat will be celebrated in Aligarh metropolis on the night of 25th February. On this occasion, religious talks, Milad etc. will be organized in various mosques of the city. Keeping this in view, traffic diversion will be done in the city. SP Traffic Mukesh Chandra Uttam said that entry of heavy vehicles in the city will be restricted due to the festival. In such a situation, vehicle operators should adopt alternative routes for transportation. He said that ambulances and emergency vehicles will be free from this ban.

  • All vehicles coming from Kanpur, Etah, Agra, Hathras, Mathura via Sasnigate will be banned from Bauner Tirahe and Agra, Mathura Changer. These vehicles will be able to divert from Agra bridge changer and go towards Etah/Kanpur, Khair/Delhi. All types of heavy vehicles coming towards the city from Delhi and Khurja will be banned. These vehicles will be able to reach their destination via Bhankri Bridge.
  • All vehicles coming from Khair/Tapal towards Nadapul/city will be diverted from Khereshwar intersection and will go to their destination.
  • Vehicles coming towards Quarsi intersection from Atrauli Road will be diverted from Quarsi intersection towards Etah Chungi and Maheshpur Tiraha and will be able to reach their destination.

Gular Road to Barhadwari/Dehligate intersection, Bhujpura Bypass to Jangalgarhi, Sasni Gate intersection to Jaiganj, Rambagh Chungi Tiraha to Kela Nagar/Dodpur intersection, Jamalpur Tiraha to University Campus/Civil Line AMU Circle, Rasalganj intersection to Barhadwari intersection, Dehligate intersection, Nanda. E-rickshaws, autos and four-wheelers coming from Kabarkutta side to Uperkot, Sabzi Mandi to Uperkot, above and below Hathi Pul to Usman Pade to Uperkot, Turkman Gate, Gular Road to Dehligate intersection, Pratibha Colony, Bhujpura bypass towards Jangalgarhi. Vehicles like tempo, loader etc. will not be allowed to enter. These vehicles will reach their respective destinations through the new bypass only. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to go from Police Station Sasni Gate side towards Jaiganj, Rambagh Chungi Tiraha towards Kela Nagar, Dodpur intersection, from Albarakat School side towards Jamalpur/University Campus, from Kathpula side towards Civil Line. All heavy vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Suraksha Vihar Colony by placing a barrier near the SBI branch from Rasalganj outpost towards Malkhan Singh Hospital and at Suraksha Vihar turn on Barola Bypass. Four wheelers, e-rickshaws, autos, tempos, loaders etc. will not be allowed to move from Barhadwari towards Dehligate intersection.
