RR vs RCB, IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals: The 60th match of IPL 2023 was played on Sunday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In this match played between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, RCB won the toss and scored 171 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. In response, the Rajasthan team was reduced to 59 runs in 10.3 overs. RCB won this match by 112 runs. This is Bangalore’s sixth win this season.
Chasing the target of 172 runs, Rajasthan got off to a very poor start. On the very second ball, Mohammad Siraj got Yashasvi Jaiwal caught out by Virat Kohli. Yashasvi, who scored a century in the last match, could not even open his account today. He faced two balls. In the second over, Wayne Parnell broke the back of Rajasthan’s top order. He sent opener Jose Butler to the pavilion on the second ball. Butler also handed over the catch to Siraj without opening the account.
Parnell took the wicket of captain Sanju Samson on the fourth ball of the same over. Sanju scored 4 runs in 5 balls and handed over the catch to Anuj Rawat. Within 7 runs, three wickets of Rajasthan had fallen. Rajasthan got the fourth blow on the second ball of the 5th over. Michael Bracewell took the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal. Padikkal scored 4 runs in 4 balls. Rajasthan’s fifth wicket fell in the last over of the powerplay. Wayne Parnell dismisses Joe Root lbw. Playing the first IPL season, Root could score only 10 runs in 15 balls.
Rajasthan’s score in Powerplay was 28 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. Rajasthan got the sixth blow in the 7th over. Michael Bracewell sends Dhruv Jurail to the pavilion. He too could not do anything special and returned to the pavilion after scoring 1 run off 7 balls. R Ashwin was run out on the last ball of the 8th over. He did not face a single ball. Anuj Rawat’s cleverness behind the wicket got RCB another wicket. Hetmyer was out in the 10th over. He scored 35 runs in 19 balls. Apart from him, Adam Zampa did not even open the account of 2 and KM Asif.
