PM Modi Speech at Rozgar Mela: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there is a need to prepare skilled human resources on a large scale for the new possibilities being created in the country. India can achieve the goal of becoming the third largest economy of the world only with the strength of youth skills. It is our endeavor that every section of the society gets the benefit of skill development. In this, be it our Dalit, tribal brothers and sisters, be it our deprived class, be it our mothers or sisters, everyone will get equal opportunity to move forward. Keeping this in mind, priority is being given to the skill development of the youth.

Gave government jobs to 1.5 lakh youth in Gujarat

PM Modi on Monday addressed the employment fair organized by the Government of Gujarat at the Mahatma Gandhi Convention Center in Gandhinagar via virtual medium. He said that during the last five years about 1.5 lakh youth have been given government jobs in the state.

Need to create skilled manpower on a large scale

The Prime Minister said, for the new opportunities being created in the country, we need to create skilled manpower on a large scale. India can achieve its goal of becoming the third largest economy only by making its youth skilled. He reminded that India had become the fifth largest economy in the world only last year. He said that under the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, 30 Skill India International Centers would be set up in the country. Here youth will be trained through new age technology. Through PM Vishwakarma Yojana, along with training small artisans, they will also be linked with MSMEs.

He said that through this scheme people associated with small businesses would be helped to reach the global market. We are also continuously preparing our youth for the changing job nature. Our ITIs are playing a big role in this work. He said that today in about 600 ITIs, training of different skills is being imparted on 2 lakh seats in Gujarat alone. This training program has been updated as per the needs of the industry.
