An RPF jawan died in a blast in a bogie of Valsad Express at Muzaffarpur railway station. The fire broke out due to short circuit in the bogie. The RPPF team started controlling the fire. At the same time, constable Vinod Kumar started trying to extinguish the fire with a small fire cylinder (fire extinguisher). Meanwhile the fire cylinder exploded. The accident was so horrific that Vinod Kumar died on the spot. There was panic in the area after the incident. Railway officials admitted Vinod Kumar to the hospital but the doctors declared him dead.

Cylinder blasted as soon as lock was opened

It is being told that Valsad Express arrived at Muzaffarpur railway station at 6.30 am on Monday morning. After some time, flames started coming out in the toilet of S-8 bogie of the train. On receiving information about the fire, Railway and RPF teams reached here and started controlling the fire. RPF jawan Vinod Kumar also arrived to control the fire. He started trying to control the fire with a fire cylinder. One fire cylinder was exhausted but the flames did not subside. Meanwhile, he started trying to control the fire with another fire cylinder. As soon as the cylinder lock was opened, the cylinder blasted. Vinod Kumar died in this.

Vinod Kumar was a resident of Arrah.

RPF sent the body for post-mortem and started investigation. According to RPF, Constable Vinod Kumar was a resident of Ara Nagar area. Was posted as constable in Muzaffarpur RPF post for two years. The team has informed his family. After the incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying.
