RR vs DC: The match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals was played on 28 March at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. Playing first, RR had made a huge score of 185 runs. Riyan Parag helped Rajasthan score a big score by scoring 84 runs in 45 balls. Although the Delhi team, while chasing the target, lost 2 wickets early, but the 67-run partnership of Rishabh Pant and David Warner brought the team back. In the last 5 overs, Delhi needed 66 runs to win, but the team’s batsmen continued to falter. Therefore DC has lost this match by 12 runs.

Rajasthan scored 185 runs

Rajasthan Royals batsmen were struggling in the beginning. The team had lost the wickets of Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson by the score of 36 runs. Then there came such a storm from Riyan Parag that the run rate of Rajasthan kept increasing continuously. Parag played an inning of 84 runs in 45 balls, which included 7 fours and 6 sixes. Ravichandran Ashwin scored 29 runs in 19 balls, hitting 3 sixes, and in the end, Dhruv Jurel contributed 20 runs in 12 balls and Shimron Hetmyer contributed 14 runs in 7 balls. Delhi bowlers were badly beaten in the last 5 overs. Mukesh Kumar scored 30 runs in the last 2 overs and Anrich Nortje scored 25 runs in the last over. With this RR’s innings ended at 185 runs.

Rajasthan’s thrilling victory

Delhi Capitals, while chasing the target, also lost the first 2 wickets quickly. By the time the score was 30 runs, Mitchell Marsh and Ricky Bhui had returned to the pavilion. Meanwhile, David Warner hit 5 fours and 3 sixes while playing an inning of 49 runs in 34 balls. Whereas captain Rishabh Pant scored 28 runs in 26 balls, but could not take DC to victory. Delhi needed 60 runs in the last 24 balls, but then Ashwin gave away 19 runs in the 17th over. It seemed as if the match would be overturned and Tristan Stubbs’ inning of 44 runs in 23 balls raised hopes of victory for DC. Meanwhile, Sandeep Sharma gave 15 runs in the 19th over, due to which Delhi remained in the match till the last over. DC needed 19 runs in the last over, but Avesh Khan bowled well and helped Delhi win by 12 runs.
