There is no sign of stopping in the matter of online fraud. Every day fraud is happening in new ways. It has become expensive for the city family to order Wipro smart plug through online shopping. The thugs withdrew Rs 9.56 lakh from different bank accounts of the victim’s family. A report has been lodged in Kotwali Sadar regarding the incident. The police is investigating on the basis of the complaint.
Satyendra Singh, son of Jagdish Prasad, resident of Vasundhara Enclave Colony, located at Mursan Gate of Kotwali Sadar area, while filing the report in Kotwali Sadar, said that he has an account in the branch of SBI Bank located at Mursan Gate. He and his wife Sushma Singh also have a joint account in the same branch. On February 8, his wife ordered Wipro smart plug from online shopping. But the plug turned out to be bad.
When it was returned, it was told that if you fill an entry in the customer support file, the process of getting your money back will be started. Your file has been sent. An hour later, on the mobile, the said person said that he had downloaded an app on the phone. After some time, a message came that Rs 43,000 and Rs 4,56,000 were deducted from their separate accounts. After some time, Rs 60000, Rs 50000 and Rs 34000 were withdrawn from the account. In this way a total of Rs 9,56000 was spent. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a report and started investigating the matter.
