Russia Ukraine War: The Russia-Ukraine war, which started with face-to-face firing of soldiers, tank-cannons, has now turned into a big ‘missile war’. In a month, Russia has fired hundreds of different types of missiles on Ukraine, due to which there has been a huge loss in Ukraine. However, now Ukraine has also received many modern weapons, aircraft and air defense systems from western countries, on the basis of which it has started shooting down Russian missiles.
Releasing some pictures, the Air Force of Ukraine today claimed that they destroyed Russia’s ‘Most Capable’ missiles. According to a Facebook post by the Ukrainian Air Force, they shot down Kh-101 ALCM missiles fired by Russia in the country’s central Vinnytsia region on January 26.
Russia’s most powerful cruise missile destroyed
Please tell that Kh-101 ALCM is Russia’s air-launched cruise missile. Such missiles are considered very powerful and the world does not know much about their features. Ukraine claims that Russia attacked with such missiles, but the Ukrainian Air Force shot down many such missiles while responding in its efficient manner. Ukraine has claimed on the basis of pictures that it destroyed Kh-101 ALCM missiles.
In another Facebook post, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that a total of 55 air- and sea-launched missiles were fired by the Russian military on 25 January, including Kh-101s, Kh-555s, Kh-59s, Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, and sea-launched missiles. Kalibr missiles launched from Ukraine claims that it shot down 47 of these missiles.

Russia fired 40 such missiles
The Ukrainian Air Force said that 40 missiles fired by Russia were Kh-101s/Kh-555s. He said that the Kh-101 is one of Russia’s most capable air-launched cruise missiles (ACLMs). This type of missile made its first flight in 1998, and then the first pictures of the missile came out in 2007.
3,000 km is firepower
Externally, they have some similarities with the US AGM-158 JASSM air-launched cruise missile. However, the range of the Kh-101 is much longer. According to a report, it can go up to a distance of 3,000 kilometers. Apart from this, Russian missiles are also equipped with conventional warheads weighing 400-450 kg.
The picture released by the Ukrainian Air Force shows a missile lying upside down, with a circular window-like shape in the middle of its wings, where a camera is attached. Russia has not yet reacted to this.
