Indian Navy Rescue Operation: The bravery of the Indian Navy, which saved the ship by fighting pirates in the Indian Ocean, is in the headlines all over the world. Recently, when the Indian Navy rescued the hijacked cargo ship MV Rouen from the clutches of pirates in the Arabian Sea, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel thanked External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

The crew members of the ship rescued from the clutches of pirates were citizens of Bulgaria.
Let us tell you that out of the 17 crew members of the hijacked ship rescued from pirates near Somalia in the Indian Ocean, 7 were Bulgarian citizens. When the Indian Navy launched an operation to rescue them, the pirates also fired on the Navy’s warship and chopper, but the brave soldiers of the Navy surrounded the pirates from all sides and asked them to surrender and rescued the crew members along with the ship safely.

Bulgaria’s Deputy PM Maria Gabriel posted on Instagram, “I express my gratitude to the Indian Navy for the successful operation to rescue the hijacked ship Rouen and its crew members including 7 Bulgarian nationals. We will continue to work together to protect the lives of the crew.” Responding to the post, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said, “That’s what friends are for.”

35 Somali pirates surrendered
Indian Navy’s warship INS Kolkata on Saturday (March 16) successfully conducted an operation and forced the surrender of all 35 Somali pirates who had hijacked a ship in the Arabian Sea. After this, the safe evacuation of 17 crew members was ensured.
Navy’s marine commandos did wonders
Earlier in the day, the Indian Navy surrounded the hijacked cargo ship MV Rouen and asked the Somali pirates aboard to surrender, an Indian Navy spokesperson said. Indian Navy’s Special Force Marine Commando played the main role in this operation. Marine commandos are also called Marcos.
