Saba Karim said during the press conference organized by Geo Cinema that the selectors should include KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer in the team. If both are fit then they should be included in the team. But if both do not fit, then in such a situation, from my point of view, Ishaan Kishan would be a better option in place of Rahul.
In his statement, Saba Karim further said that Ishaan is a wicketkeeper-batsman as well as an opening batsman. On the other hand, Saba Karim suggested the names of 3 batsmen for the number-5 position, in which he first told Suryakumar Yadav as his first choice. Karim said that if Shreyas is not fit then we have 2 to 3 options. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, the names of Tilak Verma and Sanju Samson are also included, but for me Surya will be the first choice.
Right decision to give captaincy to Bumrah
Regarding the return of Jasprit Bumrah in the T20 series against Ireland, Saba Karim said that even though it is a T20 series, Bumrah will have to work harder after getting the responsibility of captaincy. In such a situation, we all will be able to get a better idea about his fitness. The Indian team will benefit greatly from Bumrah getting a chance to play in all the matches before the World Cup.
