Sago is grown from the stem of a tree called sago palm. Sago tree is similar to palm tree. This is mainly an African plant. Whose stem is thick. Its middle part is slit and the pulp is taken out from it. Which is ground and made into powder. After this this powder is filtered. Then sago is prepared by heating it. Let us tell you that the raw material from which sago is prepared is called tapioca root. It is also known as cassava.

This is how it is prepared
Tapioca starch is made from a sweet potato-like tuber called cassava tuber. To make sago, cassava pulp is cut and kept in big vessels for 8 to 10 days. During these days, water is poured into them every day. After this the pulp made from it is put into machines.

Then it is dried, then the powder made from this glucose or starch is polished and made into sago. In this way sago which looks like pearl is prepared. Let us tell you that it was produced in the year 1943-44 for cottage industry. Which gradually became people’s choice.
