Saif Ali Khan On Omkara: Omkara, made under the direction of Vishal Bhardwaj, proved to be a superhit. Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were seen in lead roles in this film. Saif played the role of Langra Tyagi in the film. For which he was also awarded the National Award. But do you know that not Saif Ali Khan but Aamir Khan was Vishal Bhardwaj’s first choice for the role of Langra Tyagi. But later Vishal refused to cast Aamir in the film. The reason behind not casting Aamir in the film was to examine the script deeply. Aamir Khan is known for entering the script and making changes in it. But Vishal was not ready for this, so he decided that Aamir Khan would not play Langra Tyagi.
Now Saif Ali Khan has revealed about the character of Langra Tyagi. When he was asked whether he knew that Aamir Khan was the first choice for this role. Saif has talked about this in an interview given to Film Companion.
Saif told the reason
Saif said- Yes, I knew very well that Aamir Khan was the first choice of the makers for this role. Yes, that’s what I heard later. He further said, ‘Vishal said, ‘Aamir was asking me a lot of questions and he wanted to change some things.’
Saif further said- Aamir must have had a discussion with Vishal but Vishal finally told him that he would call him. Instead of calling Aamir, Vishal called me. He simply said that it wouldn’t work because he wasn’t sure it would be what Aamir wanted. This was not something in which Vishal was not comfortable.
Talking about the work front, Aamir Khan was last seen in the film Lal Singh Chaddha. This film proved to be a huge flop at the box office. After that Aamir had taken a break from acting and now he is going to make a comeback from the stars.
