Five people including BSP candidate Saulat Ali filed nomination for Sambhal Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday. However, BJP and SP candidates have not filed nomination yet. Whereas the candidates of both the parties have purchased the papers. Meanwhile, Peace Party candidate Rashid has again submitted the second set in his name on Tuesday. While nine candidates bought 18 pamphlets.

Voting for Sambhal Lok Sabha seat is to be held in the third phase on May 7. The nomination process for this is going on from April 12. A candidate filed his nomination on Monday. On Tuesday, BSP candidate Chaudhary Saulat Ali arrived for nomination with his supporters.

The police stopped the crowd and supporters outside the gate. BSP candidate Chaudhary Saulat Ali, along with the proposer and some supporters, submitted his nomination papers to RO Manish Bansal in the nomination room at the Collectorate.

Apart from this, All India Hindu Mahasabha candidate Rajesh Kumar Kharagvanshi, independent candidate Arvind Kumar Maurya and Kisan Kranti Dal Party candidate Santosh Kumar submitted their nomination papers. Meanwhile, Peace Party candidate Rashid had submitted his nomination papers on Monday.

He submitted the second set of nomination papers on Tuesday. Tight security arrangements have been made during the nomination. The supporters are being stopped outside the Collectorate. Whereas vehicles are stopped 500 meters for parking.
