In Varanasi, Municipal Health Officer Dr. PK Sharma has written a letter to Municipal Commissioner Akshat Verma demanding action against Zonal Sanitation Incharge Ravichandra Niranjan. He has alleged that he was beaten up and abused after entering the office.
The city health officer said that when the garbage was not lifted properly from the Ramnagar garbage dump till 11 am on Friday, he called the Zonal Sanitation Officer Ravichandran Niranjan in this regard. He called him five times from 11 am to 12 noon but he did not pick up the phone and blocked the number.
