IAS Sanjay Malhotra has been appointed as the new Governor of RBI. He will remain on this post for three years. Presently he is posted as Secretary Revenue in the Finance Ministry. Earlier, he was holding the post of Secretary in the Financial Services Department. He has considerable experience in finance and taxation.

Sanjay Malhotra did B.Tech in Computer Science from Kanpur. His B.Tech was completed in the year 1989. After this he went to America for further studies. There he obtained a master’s degree in Public Policy from Princeton University. After that he UPSC Passed the exam. He was successful in his very first attempt and became an IAS officer.
