Pilibhit district of Rohilkhand is located near the border of Uttarakhand state. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Varun Gandhi had won from here in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This time BJP has canceled the ticket of MP Varun Gandhi and made Jitin Prasad its candidate. Jitin Prasad is a resident of neighboring district Shahjahanpur. Whereas Samajwadi Party has fielded Bhagwat Saran Gangwar. BSP has made Anees Ahmed Khan alias Phool Babu its candidate. Ten candidates are contesting in Pilibhit.
