Saudi Arabia invest 32 billion dollars in Pakistan 25 projects discussed


Pakistan Economy: Pakistan’s economic condition has collapsed, in such a situation now Saudi Arabia is going to open its treasury for Pakistan. It is expected that Saudi Arabia can make big investments in many projects in Pakistan. Pakistan has presented 25 projects worth $32 billion before the Saudi Arabian delegation, allaying Saudi concerns. These projects also include a rail link connecting major mining sites and Gwadar, whose budget is $2 billion.

According to The News report, Pakistan has also put forward a proposal of equity investment of $1.2 billion for the much-awaited Diamer Bhasha Dam before the Saudi Arabian delegation. There has been a demand from Pakistan for investment of a luxury 5 star hotel, for this land will be given to Saudi from the Capital Development Authority. The Special Investment Facilitation Council, jointly operated by the military and civilian sides, presented this proposal to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. The Special Investment Facility Council on Tuesday told Saudi how these investments can be beneficial for Saudi.

Saudi can open treasury on these schemes
On behalf of the Special Investment Facility Council, the Saudi delegation was told that this forum was established to ensure economic stability. Pakistan has also assured to resolve the concerns expressed by Saudi side. Possible projects presented by the Special Investment Facility Council (SIFC) include outsourcing of several airports in Pakistan, disinvestment of Roosevelt Hotel Corp and Pakistan International Airlines. These include Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad airports. The projects presented by Pakistan include the $2 billion strategic rail link development connecting Gwadar.

Shahbaz Sharif can go to Riyadh
The Saudi delegation has told Pakistan that it will present the projects of Pakistan before the officials of its country, so that it can be assessed how practical these projects are. After discussion in Saudi, Saudi Arabian officials will talk to Pakistan regarding these plans. According to the report of The News, after the talks on these plans are finalized and the MoU is signed, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif can visit Riyadh.
