Saudi Arabia Model Claim: Saudi Arabian model Al-Qahtani is not participating in the Miss Universe pageant this year. Miss Universe Organization issued a statement saying that Saudi Arabia will not participate in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant. The organization has denied reports claiming that Saudi Arabia is going to participate in the Miss Universe contest. The organization has also denied that ‘Saudi model Al-Qahtani will represent Saudi Arabia for the first time in the Miss Universe contest.’
The Saudi model herself had claimed through her social media handle that she is participating in the Miss Universe contest on behalf of Saudi Arabia in the year 2024. Now the organization organizing the competition itself has denied Al-Qahtani’s claim. In the statement issued by the organization, it has been said that ‘The selection of participants from the countries participating in the Miss Universe contest is a strict process, which strictly follows our conditions and guidelines. Each country is selected on the basis of pre-made rules. In this process, fairness and transparency in the selection of contestants is ensured. We want to clearly state that no competition of any kind has been organized in Saudi Arabia. Any claims in this regard are false and misleading.
The statement said that ‘Saudi Arabia is not yet included among the countries which are going to participate in this year’s competition. We are currently going through a screening process for potential candidates to appoint a National Director.
