This advisory of Saudi Arabia has been given due to the apprehension of an attack on its employees of the US Embassy in Pakistan. Recently, the US had stopped its employees from visiting the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad due to fear of attack. Some other embassies have also banned their employees and citizens from coming out in the capital for some time, especially till January 1.

Islamabad Police issued high alert
The Islamabad Police has also increased security by issuing high alert following input of possible attacks in the capital. Islamabad Police said that checking has been increased at all entry and exit points and requested the public to cooperate in the inspection.

There was a blast in the capital last week
Recently, there was a suicide bomb blast in Islamabad. A taxi driver along with a policeman lost his life in this blast. Islamabad-based Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) said that this was the first suicide attack in Islamabad since 2014.
