Sawan month will be of 2 months
This time the month of Sawan is going to be of 2 months. Astrologer Dr. Anish Vyas told that the month of Sawan will start from July 4 and will continue till August 31. There will be 59 days in the month of Sawan. From 18th July to 16th August, Sawan will be Adhikamas. This time there will be Malmas from 18th July to 16th August. What is excess month?
Actually Vedic Panchang is calculated on the basis of solar month and moon month. One lunar month is of 354 days whereas one solar month is of 365 days. In this way, there is a difference of 11 days between these two. So in 3 years this difference becomes 33 days. In this way, in every third year an extra month of 33 days is formed. The adjustment of these 33 days is called Adhikamas.
Coincidence made after 19 years
In the year 2023, the adjustment of Adhikamas days is being done in the month of Sawan. For this reason, instead of one, Sawan will be of two months and there will be eight Mondays in Sawan. This time in the new year 2023, the 13th month of the Hindu calendar will be available, in which Adhikamas will be included. Due to Adhikamas falling in Vikram Samvat 2080, Sawan will be of two months. Which will last for 59 days. The special thing is that this coincidence is happening after 19 years. Every three years there is an additional month, which is called Adhikamas or Malmas. It is also called Purushottam month.
Jyotishacharya Vyas said that in the month in which these 33 days are adjusted in the calculation of Vedic calendar, their number doubles on an average. This time in the year 2023, the days of Adhikamas will be adjusted in the month of Sawan, the favorite month of Lord Shiva. The month of Sawan will be of 59 days, not 30. There will be 8 Sawan Monday fasts in the month of Sawan. This auspicious coincidence happened after 19 years. year 2023 In India, almost all the fasts and festivals have been extended by 15 to 20 days.
