Sawan, the most beloved month of Lord Shiva Shankar, has started from Tuesday. On the first day of Sawan, a crowd of devotees has gathered in Sultanganj of Bhagalpur. The whole of Sultanganj is resounding with the cheers of Bolbam and Har Har Mahadev. On Tuesday morning, more than one lakh devotees took bath in the Ganga on the banks of the holy Uttarwahini Ganga. First performed Jalabhishek at Baba Ajgavinath temple. After this, taking Gangajal, left for Babadham on foot.

Devotees upset due to non-confirmation of ghats

A crowd of Kanwaris from Nepal, Bengal, Jharkhand and Orissa was seen at the Ganga Ghat in Sultanganj. However, due to non-consolidation of the raw ghats located some distance away from the Ajgaivinath temple, the Kanwariyas had some difficulty in filling the water. The wharf is very slippery. That’s why the Kanwariyas had difficulty in getting out after filling the water of the Ganges.

More than 1500 soldiers deployed for security

Let us inform that the world famous Shravani fair is starting from Tuesday itself. In the evening, famous singer Kailash Khair will mesmerize the audience with his melodious voice. Apart from 6 Ministers of Bihar Government, MPs, MLAs, Legislative Councilors etc. from Bhagalpur, Banka and Jamui will be present in this function. Complete preparations have been made by the district administration. Bhagalpur DM Subrata Kumar controlled Namami Gange Ghat, Ajgavinath Temple Ganga Ghat, Krishnagarh Mela Control, Balu Ghat Room. He instructed the officer of the concerned department to complete all the preparations. Adequate guidelines were also given by the DM to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. CCTVs have been installed by the administration at many places. Shopkeepers have been given strict instructions not to use plastic. Apart from this, security personnel have been deployed at every step from the railway station to Sultan. More than 1500 jawans have been deployed to ensure that the security remains tight in the fair.
