Gauri worship with Shiva in Saavan
There is a tradition of starting the fast on 16 Mondays in Sawan. Apart from this, every Tuesday of this month also has special significance. Sawan Monday Puja Vidhi
- According to Shiv Purana, worship of Lord Shiva is considered best in the evening. Although it is best to worship Shiva every day in Sawan, but Monday is special. On the first day, take bath in Brahma Muhurta in the morning and wear white clothes. White is the favorite color of Shiva.
- After cleaning the temple of the house, keep Shivalinga in a copper vessel and offer a Belpatra and offer water from a copper or silver vessel.
- Abhishekam with Panchamrit. Chant Mahamrityunjaya Mantra continuously at the time of Abhishek.
- Offer Akshat, flowers, Dhatura, white sandalwood, gulal, abeer, perfume, Shami leaves on Shivalinga. Worship Goddess Parvati also.

- Cutting beard, moustache, haircut is prohibited in Saavan.
- Do not consume meat and alcohol in Saavan even by mistake. Follow celibacy.
- Do not eat brinjal, milk, curd, green leafy vegetables in Saavan.
- Wake up in Brahma Muhurta, control your anger, do not let bad thoughts come to your mind.
