Scions Of Royal Families In BJP Candidate List Kriti Singh Debbarma Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar


BJP Candidate List: Lok Sabha Elections Bharatiya Janata Party has released the second list of candidates for 2024. There are 2 names in this list of 72 candidates, who are related to the royal family. The first name is Yaduveer Krishnadutt Chamaraj Wadiyar. He has got the ticket from Mysore seat of Karnataka. The second name is that of Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma, who has got the ticket from Tripura East seat.

BJP has so far announced the names of 267 candidates. However, 2 of these candidates have withdrawn their names. The party has not yet announced any name in place of these two candidates.

Who is Yaduveer Krishnadutt Chamaraj Wadiyar?

Yaduveer Krishnadutt Chamaraj Wadiyar belongs to the royal family of Mysore. There were speculations about giving him ticket for a long time and now BJP has confirmed it. 32 year old Yaduveer is the grandson of Jayaramchandra Wadiyar. Jayaramchandra Wadiyar was the 25th and last king of Mysore. Yaduveer was brought up by his relative Poshan Pramoda Devi Wadiyar. Pramoda is the wife of Srikantadatta Wadiyar and she adopted Yaduveer. Yaduveer’s early education took place at Vidyaniketan School, Bangalore. After this he received his higher education from Massachusetts University, America. He has a degree in English Literature and Economics. He is contesting elections for the first time and BJP has given him ticket from Mysore seat, where the royal family has strong influence.

Royal connections of Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma

Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma is a princess of the Manikya dynasty and elder sister of TIPRA Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma. Bharatiya Janata Party has given him ticket from Tripura East seat. TIPRA Motha Party has joined BJP only a week ago. Kriti, the youngest daughter of Kirit Bikram Kishore Manikya, completed her schooling from Loreto Convent, Shillong. After this he did Diploma in Environmental Education and Management program as well as Senior Management and Rural Development course in Gujarat. She was the Animal Welfare Officer in Shillong from 1992 to 1994. She was associated with several organizations to raise awareness about environmental issues and sustainable development in the North-Eastern region. He also worked as an agriculturalist in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on horticulture, organic farming, breeding and conservation of indigenous cattle breeds. She was married to Yogeshwar Raj Singh, a scion of the former Kawardha Raj royal family of Chhattisgarh. Presently she manages the Heritage Hotel-Palace in Kawardha.
