Delhi Police has started adopting a strict stance against Bangladeshis living illegally in the national capital. Following the instructions of Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, the South-East District Police on Wednesday conducted an operation in Kalindi Kunj police station area to search for Bangladeshis living illegally. Police have also found many suspects. Their report is being prepared and shared with FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office) soon.

The Lieutenant Governor had given instructions to identify Bangladeshi infiltrators who have become a threat to the country’s security and send them back from the country. Under this, several teams of South Eastern District Police conducted a verification campaign on 100 feet road located in Kalindi Kunj. Under this, identity documents of about 150 men, women and children living here were verified. During this time the police also found some suspects. He claimed to be from Assam but could not produce any identity documents. The police is taking all the information about them on record and finding out.
