This video has been recorded by none other than the Johnson Space Center of the International Space Agency NASA itself.
This is how the desert looks from space
In the video going viral, it can be seen that at some places big and at other small pieces of white color are visible on the light brown surface. Till now we have seen the Earth as blue and green, so seeing this part we will mistake it for Mars or Mercury. However, this is the only piece of earth in which the Sahara desert exists. There is brown sand and these white colored clouds are visible scattered over it. The caption accompanying the video is – ‘This place that looks like another planet is actually Earth, where sand storms and clouds have covered the Sahara desert.’
This alien-looking planet is actually the Earth seen from space as sandstorms and cumulonimbus clouds cover the Sahara Desert.
